Seattle, Wash.— After a national search conducted in partnership with Management Consultants for the Arts, Seattle Children’s Theatre (SCT) today announces Idris Goodwin as its sixth Artistic Director. Goodwin, an award-winning playwright, breakbeat poet, director, and educator will start his tenure with the organization in July 2022 and serve as co-executive of one of the leading and most reproduced youth theatres in the United States.

SEATTLE CHILDREN'S THEATRE TO RECEIVE $20,000 GRANT FROM THE NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS1/24/2020 (Seattle, Wash.) — Seattle Children’s Theatre has been approved for a $20,000 Art Works grant to support its upcoming production The Best Summer Ever! which follows the adventures of nine-year-old Maurice Abernathy Anderson during his final summer before things get complicated.
