Introducing our 2021 Summer Intern Class! Meet the talented college students and recent graduates who will be joining us both in person and virtually this summer as Teaching Artist, Marketing, and Arts Administration Interns. Welcome to the team!
Spring has sprung and so has another exciting month of drama school announcements, community programming, and more at SCT! 135 new classes, four partnership camp locations, 15 new interns, 1,200 anticipated students virtually and in-person, an all-new curriculum workshop, and 3 chances to give – join us in celebrating the abundance of support, joy, curiosity, and creativity blooming at SCT.
SCT’s Community Engagement Programming brings professional Teaching Artists into classrooms and community spaces. We’re excited to introduce a new workshop, Theatre Arts for Self-Care, now available for students in grades 9-12. This 60 or 90-minute workshop is designed to support high school students’ social emotional development through the technique of theatre.
SCT @ Home is back with all things comedy and laughter! Inspired by some hilarious comedies to hit the SCT stages, these activities will have the whole family laughing together, whether in person or via zoom screen.
Another exciting month at SCT - and that's no April Fool's joke. This month, we’re looking up. Spring Drama School Classes have begun and Summer is fast approaching. While we prepare to gather, play and create in person, we’re getting excited for all the fun that is to come.
As Women's History Month comes to a close, we're thinking of all the ways we can continue to celebrate, amplify, and educate ourselves on the amazing work being done by female creators and leaders within SCT, local to Seattle, and all over the world.
Seattle Children's Theatre (SCT) is proud to be one of the most prominent theatres for young audiences in the United States and the world. Our mission is to provide children of all ages access to professional theatre, with a focus on new works, and theatre education. For many children, we are the first, and sometimes, sole, exposure they have to live theatre.
